Banarsi sarees traditionally woven in Varanasi, are among the finest, most well-crafted sarees in India. They are known for their fine quality of silk and opulent zari (gold and silver brocade) woven patterns depicting floral motifs. Banarsi sarees are popular across the fashion world because of its intricate weaving. Banarsi sarees came into being during the Mughal era when Muslim artisans and craftsmen started weaving Banarsi silk sarees. There are a few fabric varieties of Banarsi sarees: pure silk (Katan), Shattir, Organza (Kora) designed beautifully with zari and silk, and finally Georgette. When segregated according to the design process, Banarsi sarees can be divided into categories like Jangla, Tanchoi, Cutwork, Tissue, and Butidar.

This saree is masterly woven with engraved golden jaal in a combination of geometrical shape and round booti running all over it. It's golden meena floral border and matching pallu in gold zari  give it a very royal look. One can style this saree with full-sleaved blouse and traditional jewellery.
